Hey Kevin, Big welcome to OOTB. It was great to meet you on the Galapagos trip. Very nice blur. I like the way that you can make out the entire form of the bird. Nice amount of blur and pleasing BG colors. I may have composed it placing the bird a little higher in the frame but that is just a matter of preference. Well done.

Hi Denise, thanks for the welcome! Any "composition" outcomes of the shots taken with slow shutter speed into the rising sun for those few glorious minutes are purely accidental, I can take no credit. Am just happy I got the whole bird in the frame :)

Welcome to OOTB, Kevin. I also like the BG colors and thought him being placed a little higher in the frame would be nice. You might try a pano crop on this taking about 1/2 the top of the frame off and see if you like that as well.

Hi Kevin, big welcome to OOTB! I really like this blur and appreciate how difficult they are to achieve. Love that sky and the motion implied by the blur. Moving the bird around in the frame might be an interesting experiment for this one.

Thanks for the welcome, Julie and Kerry!

Here's another version, cropped from the top but everything I have for width...

Kevin - welcome to OOTB! It looks like you'll fit in well - this is a beautiful blur:( I like the original post but think the repost needs more on top (maybe take off 1/2 of what you did) and a little less width. But, hey it's very nice - I love the silhouette and the colors in the sky.
