Default What am I doing wrong?

Just lately, all images I have tried to post have major color shifts and significant softening, after the upload.

I am exporting from BR and LR3 with settings:

    sRGB
    800x600
    sharpening for web
    jpeg
    quality 100

and yes, my monitor is calibrated. Original color space ProPhoto

    Driving me nuts, any suggestions?

Here is an example of a major color shift to blue and poor sharpening........the file upload
    is only 37mb.....................Pls help!

Hi Jay - My guess is that the file you are uploading to the BPN server is over 200KB! - The server then downsizes it - end result small uploaded file.

Try using Save for web and devices and optimise to a file size of say 195KB.

If you are using photoshop - I can email you a save for web action that will make life a little easier - let me know if you would like it.
    :)

Yeah Jay......my bet too.....it says it's 38 KB only......major compression going on somewhere. It does say the dimensions are correct...so not sure where it is happening.

This only happens when the file is over 200KB - can be 2 bytes over and it will happen - the file size limit is 200k.

This auto resize must be new. Not long ago, just after the forum update, I tried uploading a file that was 200.5kb and it wouldn't take it because it was over the limit.

I'll confirm the server resizing issue. If the file is less than 200 KBytes, then the server will take what you upload, but if over 200 KB, will downsize it, apparently by a lot.
