    I have been busy with work all week and did not get the opportunity to post anything new. Here is one of a white pelican taking-off taken late in the day. Used Topaz remask to separate and darken the bg. Cleaned some white spots. Cropped and applied usm on the final image for web posting. Hope you like it...

    Nice takeoff image Indranil...I like the effect and colors..only thing I might do is remove the stuff in the background, make it all black..just me though..TFS

    Indranil, Ther repost looks better to me. I like the pose and the composition. Might try to soften the shadow on the belly just a tiny bit. Fabs recently posted a blog that gives some basic instruction on how to.

    I like the original Indranil with some of the BG left in. (Would probably just get rid of the branches in front of the face) Think you have great light here and a nice Chiaroscuro effect.

    Indranil, nice job on the capture. I prefer the version in pane 7 although I feel that the shadow is still a bit prominent. Nice light and color and a good example of the theme.
