    Thanks for looking.

looks good, like the colors. agree with cleaning the dirt. the critical focus point seems to be on the body, would sharpen the head more. TFS

Lovely feather colors, and nice sharp detail. Tough conditions with the bright bg.

Did well in PS after the under exposure Michael !!! Would lighten the head area Image is very different and has a good feel, like the bg as presented !! .. btw wonder how a lower angle would have looked here !!!

    Arash, Bill, Alfred,

Greetings. Thanks much for the comments. Tough balancing act on the head sharpness/noise & I think slight head movement along with the slow ss softened the head slightly.

Alfred, moved my "heavy-lifting" into the raw conversion curve (in Capture NX2's picture control editor) and am pretty happy with the results. I appreciate the comment considering your disdain for the impact of underexposure ;). In this instance not sure if I would have been happy with the impact on settings of shooting -1EV.

I shot at this angle for the bg curve of the log (not to mention if I moved so would the jay :)).

By the way, is the lack of thumbnail due to not hosting at BPN?

    Cheers,

    -Michael-
