BG is the sea blending into the overcast skies.

It's fascinating to watch these gannets land in a dozen different ways, always with feet forward.

    Techs: 7D, 70-200 f4 lens @ 129 mm, ISO 400. Eval. metering -0.67 EC: f/5.6, 1/1600 sec. Manual flash with beamer, at 1/2 power.

Post: cropped from bottom, cloned out some very OOF birds in BG. Smart sharpen (135% / 0.3) on bird.

    C&C appreciated.

I like the light, wing position, translucent plumage and BG and only wish there were bill/wing separation. Thanks for sharing!

I think I have one of the same bird Kieth :D. What a great place. I am a little distracted by the left wing tip blur and the beak/wing overlap. But I am sure you have a few thousand other frames to go through before finding some other gems. Great background, exposure and under-wing detail.

The Bg is wing spread is great. The dangling feet are cool.

Looks like the flash needed some additional power, underwing noise is starting to creep in, not bad but its the only area with noise.

    Pose and BG looks excellent.
Bill and wing separation would put it over the top.
