    Default My Tern

I thought with all the excellent recent postings of Terns, I would post one of my own. This is a swift tern, captured on the south coast of South Africa around august last year. Ive added canvas to the bottom, and extended the wing tip by a few mm, as it was touching the original frame.

Hey Stuart, I like the light, sharpness, and pose. Good BG and exposure. There is a dark circle around the extended wingtip, I might try cleaning that up.

    Looking forward to more!!

Hey Aidan, thanks for pointing that out. Sloppy linear burn work. Here is the real version;)

Great to see a different tern species. Light, sharpness and eye contact look very good. Maybe a bit more room at the top?

Beautifully done Stuart. I love the pose and sharpness. The extended canvas and tip are perfect in the repost.

The comp works for me as is. Like your PP work. The turn is razor sharp and the exposure is nailed and lots of space given to fly in too. Well captured sir !

Great shot Stewart, for all the reasons already mentioned. Could the beak and eye be sharpened a bit?

Very good repost, Stu, excellent whites and nice wing position, the head is ever so slightly turned away. Lots of detail, sharpness and catch light a bonus.

Stu, loved the wing position, light exposure and sharpness. Agree with Axel on some more room at the top. But this is splendid as-is too.
