Happy bird !!!

One of my favorite birds, razorbill !!! From Machias Island in Maine while doing puffins. Fair amount of these birds along with some gillemots All fun to watch, they will get close to the blinds with many climbing right on top !!!

He does indeed look happy. Well exposed for what I assume must be a tough bird to photograph given the light conditions. I'd love to see them up close; unfortunately the boat trips to Machias will have stopped by the time I get to Maine in September. Maybe next year.
