Default Flip, Landscape, Water, Chiaro-scuro Theme

I had worked on this image for flips, landscapes, water and now chiaroscuro theme....the top being clear and obvious and the reflection...dark.
Image was painted and framed in fotosketcher, flipped and bottom glass effect/darkening with CS4.

So in essence this is 4 themes in one...lolol..so I am stretching things a bit.

I have been busy getting ready and working two jobs..my daughter and I are going to Alaska's, Homer & Seward region in September, where she will get another step closer to her masters diving certificate. I will go on a few whale/pelagic day trips, hoping to reach 600 ABA bird images. Then we're both off to see the bears. She saw the image here of the "Friendly Bear" and just had to go.

Its been a crazy summer but my Nikon 500 f4 gets here tomorrow and hopefully I'll get out soon. 2nd job ends in mid-August...yee haa almost like getting out of school.

Very cool image Paul, I love the colors in the reflection area and it has a very painterly feel to it. Maybe it's the frame? :pIt really came together nicely. Sounds like you are on overload and can use the time away! I bet you are excited about the lens!!

I really really like this Paul! I even like the frame and I never like the frame! The depth of the water and the painted effect are perfect - the clouds arching across the image really keeps my eye moving up, around, down and back up...I could look at this for a very long time.

Hi Paul, congrats on the new glass! Always a good day when that happens... :) I like this image a lot for its symmetry, colors, and dynamic range. The frame is perfect for the image. Looking forward to some great shots from Alaska!

Very nice, Paul! Love the cloud formation and reflection, the painted look is great, and the frame completes it perfectly. Have fun in Alaska, and looking forward to all the photos you'll bring back! :)
