    Ken, You are right about the light - it is really beautiful. I think the image could do with a bit more sharpening, looks a bit soft around the head and eye but it could be my monitor (doing this a work so I'm really busy ;)). I've been thinking about the crop, just wondering if the left wing (really right wing) was pointing to the left corner would it be better.

    Thanks Mike...I am now at work also and it is looking diiferent on this monitor as well. Will try a round of sharpening when I get home and reposition the wing...thanks for the suggestions

    Hi Ken Your right about the light ... soft makes a difference Would only suggest to get on better sun angle, there is a strong shadow on the wing !!

    Sharpening wise you could give it an extra round but find difficult making razor sharp images at this time ... crop wise I would not like seeing the wing leading to the corner of the frame, wouldn't mind taking a little from the right !! Ken with that lens at this time would not stop down more than 5.6 and use the little extra for shutter speed !!!
