My continual search for Roan was slightly satisfied at Ngwesla, but I still need something far better than this.

Sure beats anything I have Ken! Nice soft light, eye contact and good fur detail with Oxpecker bonus, would crop a touch off from RHS.

    Ken,
Nice eye contact of and with a rare antelope. I like the oxpecker on top of it. The image looks sharps. Thanks for sharing. I would like to see one shot with detailed habitat in focus so that it gives us an idea.

    Cheers,

Good sharpness here Ken, as well as a great bg and nice filtered light. I would also take some of the right.

Thanks for the comments and suggestions, I think a little more off the RHS will work well.

There is no doubt that Roan are not the most abundant animal and are generally very shy.

The best place we have ever been to for sighting Roan is Kafue, but nowadays it has become very expensive unless you self-drive.

I still cannot make up my mind whether Sable or Roan is the nicest Antelope in Southern Africa, both are extremely beautiful as well as majestic.

Sure beats anything I have. Maybe try Nyika?
I vote for Sable (never seen one in the wild :( ).
