My best guess after looking through field guides and the internet is a Pine Siskin, which I have never seen before.

It sure is a Pine Siskin. The yellow at the base of the tail and along the wing help identify it as well as the heavy streaks all over the body. Although this bird is part of the finch family it has a smaller beak than most of the other finches! Nice find :)
