    Canon 7D, 800mm 5.6L, 800 ISO, 1/100 f11, no crop, background lightened in CS5, some noise reduction with Noiseware Pro. Wish I'd brought the 500 -- almost too close and no placde to back up...these birds are huge.

    Good job on the exposure with that dark BG. I like the water color a lot.

    Sweet EXP, whites, detail, and BKGR. It's funny, I don't mind the larger piece of wood but the one in front of that one bugs me....

    Hi Don - Nice serene capture. I might brighten the bird's face a tad, and would be tempted to try a version with cloning out most of the grass/sticks in the water.

    Loved the reflection and the calmness. good exposure too. You might want to try sharpening the head a bit.
