My kind of shot. Very nice with the different layers of the bg.
The colors are cool. I love it as is.

The silhouette is near perfect - good separation on all the parts of the bird, plus you've got him/her calling as well. Unfortunately the sunset colors weren't in your favor. Good example of how to make something from what you have available though.

A beautiful image, David. The calling crane is both sharp and in a great pose. The mountains sloping up on the right side help to balance the crane on the left and keep my eyes in the image. The layered clouds with great colors top it all off. Very nice!

This is great David, the mountain helps the balance of the image. The sunset is really nice as well!

Very cool silhouette. Just wondering if you jacked up the color temp in post processing?

I really like to play with these in flight silhouettes. Rarely do I get one this nice. Very graphic feel to this shot.

I don't actually do much with white balance except to remove color casts. The only color addition has been a value of +10 on the Vibrance slider in Lightroom.

    Cheers,
    David
