Had some fun photographing dancing paint drops with my friend Jerry Fornarotto yesterday. Not so much fun cleaning up afterwards though, but afterall not too bad.
I used a small home theatre speaker (any small computer speaker should do) an amp and connected my laptop to the amp in order to generate the sound waves. The placement of the paint drops, viscosity and different sound waves will result in different effects.
This partiular shape looked to me sort of like a cactus plant and I liked the colors blending together.
Specs - Canon 50D - 180mm - f/22 - bulb mode- 2 Canon Speedlites @ 1/32 output.
Cropped in order to remove the negative space since this was a low riser bounce. Applied Nik darken/lighten filter. I choose not to remove the specular h/l.
