    Default Mountain Goat at Sunset

The last rays of light before the sun set on this mountain top field and cast everything into shadow. Not the creamy BG that most seem to prefer but I liked the long shadows and habitat. 40D, 1-400L @ 390mm, f6.3, 1/500s, ISO 400, handheld, full frame.

Steve - Good detail and pose. I like the environment. I might consider taking a little from the rhs. Nice image overall.

Steve, I really love this image … wonderful quality about it. I don't mind the background at all and it adds to my perception of where they live. These goats are great photographic subjects.

Hi Steve, great setting, pose and stance, with a nice warm glow to the colours. Just wonder if it looks a fraction too sharp?

Excellent subject in high rocky mountain meadow habitat. Light is sweet. Like it a lot. Well done.

Hi Steve, I havent seen this species before, and he looks pretty well protected with all that fur. I like the setting, late light, and warm colours. Well captured.

Steve - I love the lighting and the BG is fine to me. The suggestion of leaving more canvas below the subject (like Alfred suggested) sounds like a good idea to me if possible. I love these guys and this is a great shot.

Great light and color! Really like the glow on the surrounding vegetation.
