I have been waiting for quite a while to capture a decent series of Green Herons and was finally able to do so last Sunday. I was able to use my car as a blind and slowly rolled up to this nice specimen about 60 feet away. I was impressed with his successful hunting techniques. He actually ate three of these fish in about 5 minutes. It was slightly overcast for this particular hunt, but the sun came through for the rest of my series. I liked the direct stare and almost slight smile he has on his beak.
