This is one from Nickerson Beach last week. It was nice to have some high clouds.

Another nice Tern shot Axel. The BG is great as is the shrimp? and flight angle. Love the wing position. Great job!

Nice windspread, with good detail on far wing. Nice background. Head turn right on. Bonus of crab in bill. Great shot, Axel.

Great shot, Axel, love the V position of the wings. The shrimp just adds to this image.

Ditto Krijn. I am voting for shrimp over fish and crab. This is a pretty much perfect image: great capture and impeccable processing.

Even though it's frowned upon to say "great shot" since Mr. Morris did above I also echo that. I don't see anything to suggest improvement. The background colors and light are superb.

Wow Axel, after chasing these guys around a couple of weekends ago along with Black Terns, I can appreciate how difficult it is to have a shot like this in your collection. I love everything about it! :)

I agree with the others. This is pretty much perfect. Wonderful light, wing pose, BG and composition. Perfect sharpness and the prey in the bill makes it even better.

Let me add my voice to the chorus of compliments on this beauty. You have a signature style of which this is a perfect example, clean, well composed, interesting, and artistic.

As the others have said this is a wonderful image. I love everything about it but what really puts it over the top for me is the look in the birds eye, almost as if he acknowledging to you what a special image this is.

Beautiful, Axel. Love the sharpness of the eye and the lovely soft bg. Of course, the prey is a big bonus.

You guys are killing me with your Tern images, and this is pretty much as good as they get. Excellent capture, and I like the eye contact here. Good overall exposure, tack sharp, and that BG is simply outstanding.

Very nice shot of the tern. You have a nice flight position, light and background. Even better to have a catch between its bill.
