    Default Night of the Hibiscus

    This is one of the Hibiscus’s from our garden, which I modified in CS4 and Topaz.

    Modifications included; Topaz Detail, Simplify & Adjust, in addition to normal image adjustments in CS4.

    I think you've captured the three dimensional effect which traditionally chiarascuro defined (according to my art dictionary :) ), however, I find that the hibiscus is a little too soft for my tastes. Having said that, I really like the treatment and tonal quality you've portrayed.

    Again I like the framing Mark, but agree with Hilary it is a little too soft. My eye keeps looking for something to on to. But think you have made a good attempt.

    I agree it's a bit soft on the Hibiscus but the chiarascuro effect looks wonderful and I like the gold tones.

    Really nice lighting and framing Mark. The colors are quite nice also and the frame fits perfectly.
