This is a good example of an unexperienced photographer. I got so excited to been so close to an Osprey that I failed to compose properly the shot. On the original shot the bird only fill half of the frame, the rest of the picture (on top of the bird) is blue sky (yep, this was a portrait). Part of the problem was the "center sensor syndrome".

I will like to think that now (took the picture a year ago) I should be able to handle better the situation.

Been there.....done that....but we all learn. This has such great detail. I think that you could crop this one much closer, add some room back at the top, and eliminate the cut off toes. I'll bet you'd have a wonderful portrait image of this guy.

You might not have composed the way you'd do it now, but you sure did get nice detail!! Lana has a good suggestions for a crop.

This is nice as far as detail and controlling the whites goes. I would want to see the whole claw but I think that's my only issue.

Raul you have captured this Osprey in a great pose and close I would maybe focus on cropping this image and putting more attention on the head and that powerful look he gave you. Nice Image!!!!

Thanks for recommendations, I like the picture, but have struggle with the composition, I'll try alternative cropping as per recommendations.
    Thanks again,
    Raul
