    A client was asking for a flight shot that fit onto a single page. This is what I found in my files. I had some others with more direct eye-contact, but they didn't have the dangling feet.

    500 f4, D300, hand-held, baited, manual exposure, 1/3200, f8, iso400

    Great pose and composition. The whites on the wings look borderline hot on my monitor.

    Sooo cool Scott! A really powerful photo. In this case I don't mind the clipped wingtops, since it actually emphasizes how close it is and that its coming for you! I see so many snowy owl post here that I am starting to think they are swarming all over the place there in Northern America and that they are easy to photograph.

    Coming from South Africa, we dont see these beautiful snow owls, and I have now seen quite a few on this site. As Vincent stated, these guys seem to be quite abundant. Still, a great head onshot, and those eyes are incredible.

    Absolutely killer in-tight flight image Scott! This is one of the views that I want to try for with the bigger lens when I head back up north again.
