Taken In Canyonlands NP during my last tour there in April. This is quite a view from this little overlook.....with about a 1000' drop. I have always tried over the years to capture the grandeur of this vista......closest I've come so far.
Canon 1D Mark lll withe the 17-40mm lens at 17mm for 1 sec. at f22 and ISO 100 all tripod mounted with 2 Singh Ray GND filters stacked and HH in front of lens.
Saved around 56 quality to fit.

Roman, Not an easy place to get a comp that works well due to it's vastness. You got a great sunrise which is the dominant factor and the terrain is adding to it's interest. Very well handled technically...

Very nice sunrise and cloud patterns. That could really make or destroy your image. Lots of detail in the land also, well done.
