Looking for composition and lighting feedback on this one............unfortunately the stem
is just out of sight hidden by the lower lily pedal.

    Hey Jay,
I actually like the comp here.....forms a nice diagonal flow. I do even think the DOF falloff helps....with just enough sharpness on the rear bud. Only 2 small recommendations....tone down the L side of the leaf some and perhaps a bit of CCW rotation.....just feels like it leans a bit right. Overall, very nicely done!!!

I would agree with Roman's comments, Jay and would add that you might consider removing the light streaks in the background behind the flower. IMO, they don't add to an otherwise striking image and they tend to draw my eye.

Great composition and light. That diagonal is strong, leading right to the flower. The suggestions above are good ones. Great color! Wonderful image.

I really can't add anything new to the comments already given but following the advice should take this nice shot up a notch or 2.

Yes, I also think the best suggestions have already been given. I love the "secret garden" look you have going on here with the dark lighting but would also think it would hold up as a strong image with a bit more light overall. It's beautifully composed, that's for sure. ;)
