    Hi

    Usually a ground bird so I was pleased to capture like this.

    Hi Richard, I like your positioning of the subject along with even lighting. Good that you gave more room in the front of the bird. I might run some noise reduction on the backround and if this were mine remove the yellow flowers on the left...

    Delightful capture, is this it a Carolina Wren (I'm learning my birds, too). I agree, as much as I like a splash of color, the yellow in the background is slightly distracting. Great position, too, looks like it's just about the fly away.

    Hi

    Took out yellow flowers and ran NR.
    Sandra the bird is called a Dunnock here; I ran a google search on Corolina Wren and they are very different. It takes a while to learn them all; indeed as I am new to UK birds I had no idea what this was!
    The Carolina Wren is very similar to the Rufous naped I see in Costa Rica

    Thanks for the updated image, it does look quite a bit better without the noise. I've never seen a Dunnock, thank you for sharing!

    Thanks for your encouragement! We saw our carolina wren out our picture windows today--but it's part sun/shade, too bright. sigh. Maybe this evening. . .
