    Default Is This A Fly ?



    I found this guy in my balcony to walk up and down he looks like a kind of fly , but i really not sure .

    crop , levels .

    canon 50d , 1/60 , f16 , iso 100 , USM IS 100MM LM MACRO .

    Kostas, yes it's a fly. It looks like one of the biting types or at least it looks similar to the evil biting deer flies that we have around here.

    Was this image lightened a lot? I'm asking because it looks like there's a big amount of color noise and at iso 100, there shouldn't be. The dark area in the LR is distracting so maybe give a try at cloning it away.

    Hey Kostas,
    I agree with Ken....something looks a little over processed. Was it dark where you took this or was this a large crop?

    Definitely a fly, Kostas - the head shape gives it away. I would agree with Ken and Roman about the overall look of the image.

    sorry im not so sure about what i did , as is not so new images this one , the sure thing is that it wasnt dark , i remember this pretty good , thanks for the replys and the infos any way . :)

    It does feel a little over processed but you sure brought out the colors in the fly, Kostas! I'd work on bringing the BG down a bit and cloning out that corner and I think this would really pull the image up another notch.
