    Default Lion pride from Microlight

This was taken from a very low pass over the Sth Luangwa floodplain one early morning in a microlight piloted by John Coppinger out from Tafika camp- Zambia.
This Mwamba pride had killed a buffalo the evening before and were chilling back out on the floodplain.
It was difficult not to have the control bars in the FOV and trying to compose and focus with a large helmet on!
A enthralling experience and one not to be missed if you ever get down this way. Sept '07.

    C & C most welcome

    Cheers
    Marc

As an experience it must have been quite something. The lions certainly look interested. I would have liked to have been there with camera ready (from a 4x4) on the off chance that the ultra light had engine troubles!!! :D

Hey Marc, now this is what I call site seeing. Great perspective, and the lions certainly look bewildered at your big bird. I appreciate how difficult this must have been, and wonder by cropping between the OOF parts of the microlight will enhance this even more. Have you any more???

The main reason I left the OOF area in, was because otherwise it looked like it could possibly have been taken from a vehicle.:o
Yes, I have a few more with some members of the pride still on the remains of the buffalo.

This is John piloting and myself trying to get some shots.
