    Default Butterfly on Flower

This is my first posting of a Fract image, as I have just started experimenting in this realm. To keep true to form, I used other filters and effects as well, for this creation. The original image was taken at Butterfly World – Florida and has been presented previously. I am working on my final image for this week’s theme and just posting this for a break from the norm.

Modifications included; Fractalius and in CS4, Accent Edges, Poster Edge, Cutout and various adjustments for hue, saturation and contrast. Additionally I used Topaz Adjust to final out the image.

    Enjoy!

Seems a bit over processed and I can't notice the Fract. effect. I think the dark area in the BG on the right is a bit distracting. I do like the punch of color and the BF.

Hi Mark, I like the effect and color punch on the butterfly and flower. Personally I think a smoother BG might be better, and I agree with Denise on the dark area in the BG being a bit distracting.

Mark, I like the bold colors and outlines, especially on the butterfly and its perch. The bg is a little muddy and busy for my eye.

Mark, I like the butterfly and the flower very much. Perhaps just tone down the BG a little?

Thanks all for viewing and comments. Appreciate it.

The Fract effect was very subtle and muted by the other effects. It is visible as the fuzz on the front flower stem and around the butterfly. As noted it was a beginning. I will explore it more, though it isn't my normal preferred effect. But I will have something for the next Fract week ... whenever.

Thanks for viewing and comments, Paul. Appreciate it.

Didn't see your post until now. ;)

I see the point of the dark area comments. However, personally, I like it as it draws the eye around the image, as does the green on the bottom. The red brings me back to the subject however. But appreciate all comments. :)
