Hi Chris, this looks like a great first post, I really like the diagonal composition. Lots of nice detail as well.

Lovely wings. Very nice details underwings. I would run the image with a NR software.

Nice sharpness and I like the diagonal composition. I might lighten or desaturate the blue sky a little, but that's just my personal taste.

    Hi Steve,

The blue sky in this photo is natural and actually rather mild for Arizona, especially at our elevation. And, you will rarely see any clouds in my photos, if we do get a cloud here (with 340 days of sunshine a year).. it is a stay at home day.

LOL! We are expecting yet another 10-12 inches of snow in the next couple of days and I am STILL planning on heading out!!:D

Beautiful first post Chris. If this was taken on 1/23/2008 you should change your copyright date in the photo;) Excellent view of the face and underwing patterns.

    Thanks Daniel,
I set up an action in PS for my copyright and never gave it a second thought.. duh !! As I was looking I also noticed that my camera was a year behind too. Don't know how that happened but now I have to go change all my shots taken in 2008 to 2008. Thanks for the heads up.

Welcome, Chris! Nice to see another person venturing over. I might try cropping this image with a verticle crop.
