Default Grey Seal pup at sunrise

This was taken at Donna Nook last year november. I went with Wildimages on a photographic workshop for Grey Seals. We were lucky to find a lot of pups close to the surf as they normally stay close to the dunes untill they change their furr. I found one pup who's mom wasn't there at the moment, which gave me some opps to get this wideangle shot against a nice sky. They are actually this yellow when sunlight hits them so it isn't a color cast. I know the eye contact isn't optimal (though it was still looking at me) and the horizon might be a bit distracting 'cutting' through the head, but I liked this anyway.

Please tell me what you think......

Great angle and composition. It looks a tad oversharpened on my monitor.

liked this image a lot. though the seal looks alright, the sand does look a bit oversharpened.

The sharpness of the sand detracts from the soft feel of the seal. Other than that every thing works in this photo.

Very interesting viewpoint. Makes the pup look like it's on a vast featureless landscape. I'm not sure what to think about the sand here. To me, the sand looks like sand looks.
