    Default Eastern Kingbird

Thought I would share a favorite image of mine from last summer. I found this juvenile bird while kayaking one August afternoon and he/she was very calm, and allowed me to photograph it extensively. I really liked the framing in this one with the surrounding foliage.

    Josh:

Well exposed, sharp, good BG, good pose.
I might tone down the OOF area in the right lower corner, and consider cloning out the leaf touching the left side of the birds tail.

Nice job shooting this one from a kayak.

    Cheers

Love all the flowers. If it were mine, I would surely lose the leaves on the ll. EXP and BKGR excellent. The only thing that bugs me a bit is the slightly steep angle of elevation to the subject. You need one of those kayak ladders :)

Sharpness, BG and eye contact look great. The plant in the lower corner is a bit distracting but I don't think there is much you could have done about it.

Hey Josh, nice perch and BG. Good job from the kayak. Good call too on the vertical comp...was it cropped from horizontal? I like the suggestions offered above. Glad to see you posting!:)

Thanks for the comments. Daniel, this was shot as vertical and is about 90% full frame.
