I really like the multi colored BG as the image has a 3d feel to it.

Gorgeous shot Jim! Light, BG and fish puts it over the top. White looks slightly on the grey side on my monitor.

Perfect exposure, nice eye contact, details, flying pose. Fish is a big bonus and I love the BG. Only think would make it better is not having the shadow on the back wing. Pretty sweet, James.

Super sharp, killer BKGR. Nice fish (though a small one for this huge tern :)) I agree with Ofer on the too-gray whites.

Excellent frame Jim. You gotta love that pickleweed BG! I might go for a tighter crop, taking a bit off the bottom.

I would also crop a bit off the bottom. Great image though. I love the BG, wing position, and prey item.

I agree with a slight more pano crop but otherwise perfect. Such lovely BG colours.

Great sharpness and exposure against a killer bg. Ditto on pano crop. Well done !

Excellent fore-quarter flight pose and added interest with prey.

Looks very good, I like the eye contact and BG and the fish adds to it. Adding to the other comments, I might try to lighten the shadow on the far wing.
