    Default Portrait in Blue

Great Blue Heron Portrait The Bird flew in and landed about 12 feet away and at 700mm this is all I could get in frame. The BG is the cold dark water of the Tennessee River.

Well done with a good COMP. He looks as if he just ate a big fish... The mid-tones look too dark overall.

    Really nice!

Is it just my eyes or is there a large round brush mark just below the eye and a little right in the water. Maybe you got rid of a dust bunny?

    Hi Gary -

This nice image can be greatly improved with a curves adjustment to lighten the midtones, whicch are quite dark. That is some wild looking water!

Nice composition, and good to have included to complete trailing plumes. The bill and eye stand out nicely against that beautiful water.
