It's just one big step for the grey heron...
    I like the toes.

That's the reason why I keep it although I don' t like the really high position, not really at eye level :(

Nice action in this image with the lifted foot, It looks a bit light on my monitor and to tweek the levels a bit would bring in a little more contrast in the wings and on the face. A slight head turn toward the camera would be a plus too. If it would have been possible to move back it would decrease the steepness of this image as well. I love the sharp eye that you captured here and the whole image is nicely framed. Many thanks for sharing.

Love the heron's pose and if you had a better angle it would have been outstanding rather than excellent. You managed the side lighting quite well and my only nit would be the loss of color on the top part of the heron's beak.

Love the title Rosl and imagine that is what the bird was thinking !!!!!!!

Your light was from hard right Sure wish you had a better angle to light up the bird Head is slightly away Agree with you on the high angle As Judy mentioned you can put the 2X back up and the angle would be less It is amusing image !!!!

Tried to bring some more detail into the highlights and also removed a slight green cast visible at least on my monitor.

    Hi Rosl -

Interesting high-stepping pose and you did a good job with framing, but the turned away head angle is undesireable. Wish you had frontal lighting so that the harsh shadows could have been avoided.
