Well soon the 'Glorious 12th' will be here, and these little guys will be the target for most sportsmen & women paying a handsome fee to bag this small game bird.

    Steve:

He does look like he is looking out for trouble.
Lovely colors here with multi colored bands in BG matching the foreground colors. Rich tones in the bird go great with BG.
I like the placement in the frame, might consider a very small crop off top, just 25% or so of the top green band.

    Neat.

Ironically Randy my first crop was tighter, albeit moved down (more foreground, less above), but felt it was a fraction tight?

    Whats the story
Harshad, these birds are breed during the year and then shot as game birds for the table. :D

    cheers

Interesting head-on point of view, I also like the soft light, flowers and BG. I might crop a bit off the top to remove the brown area at the top. I'm glad you found this pretty bird before someone with less friendly intentions.

Late to the party. I would take just a bit off the top as I love the bands of color in the BKGR. I would lighten it a bit and ease off on the SAT a bit. All in all loverly.
