    Default A Shaft of Light?

    I really cannot remember how this strange lighting came about, only that it was dull and overcast, and I reacted quickly to the Eland being lit up. (hence the strange settings)

    Taken on Ngweshla Plains, Hwange NP, Zimbabwe 1st July 2010. Does the Ostrich need to dissapear?

    EOS 1D MkIV

    500mm F4 IS hand-held from vehicle

    F5, ISO 800, 1/4000

    Looks most unusual Ken, it's as if the Eland has been lit by a giant spot light with the strong shadow as the treed BG is quite dark?
    Nontheless, you got his attention. The Ostrich, however, does draw my attention somewhat.

    good quick reaction Ken, we have all done it, important thing is you got it!! agree with Marc the headless ostrich does raw the eye....

    interesting lighting - I like it. nice and sharp with great image quality Ken. the ostrich wasn't that bothersome for me, repost is better but since I prefer not cloning these days, I vote for the OP :)
