    This is a very early (5.30 am) shot in the mangrove salt marshes of the Celestun Biosphere Reserve, Yucatan. Mexico. Flamingos are tricky birds to photograph in the wild because they tend to be very shy. All comments are welcome :).




    Nikon D100, Sigma 500/4.5 @ f/4.5, 1/500.Gitzo + Sidekick head from the front of a 12 meters long local fishing boat. Postpro: Unsharp mask, levels and curves in PS.

    Hi Manuel so nice to see flamingos in the wild !!!! A treat

    I like the protective pose very much A slight separation between the two would have been great The main suggestion I have is with the processing Look like you can get more out of it Will download in PS and post I feel it can go brighter, punch the colors and straighten Do feel important to keep the early morning light

    This could be taken much further Just did a quick adjustment
