    Captured this ptarmigan on Mount Evans in Colorado. The light was getting a little harsh, so I went for some backlighting. I also like the background better. Thanks for looking.

    I like the backlight idea, eye contact and sharpness. Have you tried to tone down the highlights around the corner a bit? I'm not sure why, but some of the whites on the chest have a slight magenta cast.

    Super pose, and you have captured good sharp detail. Maybe a little tight on the left.
