Gen, A lot of things to like about this image but a few things that I would change. Love the interaction, pin sharp, and I like th eplant behind the trio - gives good habitiat. IMHO the image is a little dark, adding .3 or .5 ev might improve. I would also move the whole image a little to the right (if you can) so that we could see all of the mother. Mother's HA is not great but if you added a little catch light to the mother's eye if should improve it.
