One more Corsair! This is the same plane as my previous post with the pilot buzzing the crowd on the tarmac. This is equivalent to a full frame shot. In the original the plane was very close to the left edge and much lower in the frame. I added canvas to the left side and the bottom and removed the same amount of sky from the top and right side so the overall image size remains the same. The plane remains the same size as originally shot, just moved.

    D300, 200-400VR @ 200mm, 1/500 @ f/8 manual exposure

    Hi Alan,

    Very nice capture, I may well have to sell a kidney and get a 200-400VR currently I use a 70-200 f2.8 VR/Af-s with either a 1.4 or a 1.7x tc's

Only thing i would add is same as my previous post, The Corsair has a high torgue engine compared to most warbirds, When i capture warbirtds i try to stay at 320 or below to try and capture more of a disc on the prop. On a lower torgue aircraft you may freeze the prop at 1/500

    just my 2 cents :D

I agee. I changed the SS to 1/320 just after this sequence and find it to be the best compromise for me to get a decent prop blur and still maintain good sharpness with my panning. Thanks for your comments!
