I like the overall feel and look Pauline Might want to sharpen the face area a bit more This type image is about feel and you did just fine !!! ... remember to include the tech info, makes it easier to know what you were doing, I'm sure you made that at a low shutter speed !!

Agree great feel and lighting. Processing looks good because I can't see any noise. Sharpening it more would bring it up a lot IMO.

Hi Pauline - great feel and lighting looks good - No Doubt the Safari leader has had practice :)

Agree with the sharpening - here is what I was thinking - a fraction overdone just so you can see the differences.
    Looking forward to seeing more;)

Thank you Alfred - I do save the metadat to the picture so that the Exif can show. In this website is there another way or do I type it in when attaching the photo? THank you for the time and trouble.

Hi Pauline - my sharpening routine is a little different to most I guess - I use Genuine Fractals with a set of actions by Noel Carboni. Lots of different programs out there that will do it.

Hi The subject looks lit by (what they call) Rembrandt lighting. I like that style of lighting which is effectively handled here.
Lances repost really popped the detail and improved the image. Not sure if I like the bright grass head in front of the face...

    Hi Dave
I also did not really like the bright grass but afterwards I thought it gave an idea (perspective) of the size of this huge animal in proportion to the grass. Can someone confirm if I must type in the metadata with each picture or is there a way for the metadata which has been saved to file to be automatically uploaded? I am new to this website and therefore just not sure.We have a local site which automatically takes up the metadata so I was a little confused.
