    Default Feeding Time

This one is another from the weekend with the Skimmers. The chicks make for some great photo ops for sure. Taken with the Nikon D300s and Nikon 500 f/4, f/8, 1/800, iso 800. C&C always welcomed:).

    Hi Nancy,
This is a cute image - that looks like one large fish for such a small chick...!
I love the comp and there is lots of great detail - colours are nice too. I might just clean up the stay grasses under the skimmer on the right if your ethics allow.

Very nice moment captured Nancy! Love the family gathering and comp. Would take a bit more of the bottom to focus a bit more attetion on the chick/parents.

Very intimate, and well timed on your part. You guys have really been taking advantage of those beach-side families!! I agree on taking some off the bottom and I would perhaps warm up the colour temp a tad.

Interaction and sharpness look very good. I agree with Krijn on cropping a bit off the bottom and the whites could go a bit darker for my taste.

I really like this shot -- so nice to get both parents in the shot with the youngster -- great low angle

Very nice for all the reasons mentioned Nancy. I find the overall image a bit on the bright side and wonder if Axel's suggestion might be worth a try.

Wasn't it a treat to have the chicks so accessible?
Tender moment, well captured. I'd like to see it a little dater too. IMO, the green adds to the image.
    Long time no see :(

Nice interaction, Nancy. How long did you have to wait for this shot? At f8 to get all 3 birds in focus, not easy I bet.

Agree not easy to get them all in focus. Agree with Daniel on warming it up a bit. But great interaction, and wonderful moment captured.
