    First Congratulation on making this site:)

    Itook this shot a 2006 i think, its a little different from other shots of the Mandarin Duck, But i hope you like it. I don't have any info on this shot, exept it is taken with canon 20 D

    Nice pose and colors in the duck. The BG is pretty busy and the coot in the forground is distracting.

    I really like the colors as well. Your exposure is very nice. I also really like how you are at eye level with your subject. The background is distracting to me especially with the twigs forming the triangle around your subject, but I know how hard it is to change positions sometimes in the field, the other part of the BG that is distracting is how close it is to your subject rendering it more in focus and increasing its distraction factor.

    Welcome to BPN, weasel! Great angle and exposure looks good on main subject. I find the whole image, (foreground and background) to be very distracting with the clutter and hot spots, though.

    Thanks for your comments. i have to say i do like the coot in the foreground. But have to say the BG could be better
