    Default Leopard cub

Here's the brother to the other 5 mth old female cub I posted recently,
    http://www.birdphotographers.net/for...ed-Leopard-cub.
he has the more traditional olive coloured eyes.
Took away the cyan cast that seemed to exist in the other cub posting. Apologies for the cut rear paws, not really sure why that happened??

    C & C most welcome

    Cheers

    Marc,
This is another good image, sometimes using a big lens can be a big nuisance, as I know only to well:D
When I do this sort of thing I usually try to follow the advice tthat cropping more makes it look like you intended to leave these parts out, but I think in this case you may end up with a square crop which some people do not like.
    Nevertheless it is great capture.

another lovely shot Marc, I definitely prefer the sister's eyes having seen that one now :)

pity about the paw...I tried a few different crops but nothing really cut it for me, even a vertical portrait of the face, so I feel that it's probably best as presented.

I did take out the hint of blue/cyan in the whites and I applied LCE and a slight curves adjustment on the face to make it stand out more...what do you think?

Looks better Morkel, have found that slight cyan in the white fur a real annoyance, and seems to be prevalent in nearly all of my Leopard Nikon files
and is a constant battle getting the right colour cast.:o

I have found the same problem with all my leopard shots taken when I loaned Nikon gear...cyan cast, especially in the whites and green cast in the yellows :)

Agree Morkel, and it's particularly evident on cool (WB Auto setting) mornings, such as this one.:(

Hi Marc The face and overall feel is strong enough I did not even noticed the paw !!

Re-post looks fine Stands out better and seems a little warmer! .... not sure how the casts get there? If its the entire sequence you can apply the change in LR for all at the same time, one of the neat features of the program !!!

    Thanks Al
Could you elaborate a little more on this? I use mainly CS5, but can fire up LR again.;)
