At Estero's Germain Arena, a PBR event. The guys on the ground was the third one to require emergency treatment at the event :o
    Very exciting event, though.

Hi Jamie We used 1600 for most but did bump it up more at times !!

....btw the key to these is zero under exposure and they will turn out fine !! We did better the second time out, images were easier to process and had even less light !!!

This particular one was taken at ISO 2000.
Glad you liked it. No, bull was not finished. He turned around and really pounded on the fallen rider :(

Thats gotta hurt but what do they expect the bull to do? I have done some high ISO work recently with my 7D and slowly getting the knack of controlling noise. We have a lot of black bears in our area so they are a good challenge in the evening light. I'll share some one day.

As dangerous as bull riding is I am glad they keep the tradition. Cowboys need to entertain themselves too.

kind of makes you wonder who came up with this. cowboys, sitting around the fire, partaking in some alcoholic beverages, and then one says, hey! i'm gonna go ride that bull!!! :D sure is entertaining, but i hate to see the guys get hurt! great job with the high iso!

Jamie most bulls go out of their way not to step on the cowboy and they actually like what they are doing ... Chicken on a Chain comes to closest to smiling :) I'm sure they know what they are doing, dump the rider and head for the pens !

Ouch! Watch these guys in the winter in the local arenas. They are pretty much crazy.
