I will be shooting this cactus flower tonight or early morning before the sun comes up.
What would you use to get it right...I only have 2 chances before flower falls off.

    Thanks

... JB First if your shooting in the dark make sure to have ample distance to the plant :)

Would take some right now and see about the crop bg etc Mechanics will be easy !!! As presented don't like the flower merging with the cactus Would try one with a wide angle lens for greater dof getting close to the flower ... use extension tube if you need !! Would also take one of the flower itself !

... will think about it and get back on this one !!

Setup early - manually focus in light - nothing worse than trying to manually focus in the dark or by torchlight.
Obviously flower is going to be open - so think about DOF issues and were you want that focus point to be.
Consider multiple shots with different focus points - so you can stack them to get a increased DOF.

Practice run first night - evaluate your shots the next day - and NAIL it the second night!!!

Looking forward to seeing it :)
