I made this at Nickerson a few days ago around 9 AM. High clouds helped with the exposure.

Nice detail in the shot Axel, especially getting that slight catchlight in the eye. The blowing grass and BG are spot on and really makes it.

Just wonder if that white line from the body should be removed, is it part of the tail feathers?

Great one, Axel. Wing position, open tail and feet set for landing are terrific, and the bg is stunning.

Thanks, Steve! That is the right side of the fanned tail.

Awesome shot. The wing pose, light and the colors are fantastic. But the best is the BG with the grass. This looks almost like a painting.

Beautiful shot Axel; the flowing grass makes it special. Good job on bringing the eye out because we all have photos of terns with "invisible eye" syndrome.

Lovely pose and even better BG, love the soft painterly background captured here. Great EXP control, HA, catch light and sharpness.

Wonderful shot Axel!! Would clone out the tip of the tail feather behind the belly.

Nice shot Axel. The clouds helped with the shadows as you said and I like the landing pose and habitat included.
