Raul, Nice pose. I would like to see a crop with a slight bit more room on LHS and I'm note sure if it is my system but I find the bird lacking in contrast - looks a bit washed out - probably my monitor. BG might be a bit busy - slight selective blurring might improve but that is very subjective and just my taste

    Good capture though

I agree with above comp suggestions but otherwise this is good. The detail is very good and I like the pose.

    Raul:

Good critique from Michael. The bird itself is shows a wide dynamic range, good blacks in pupil, and somewhat overexposed whites in some areas, but the background is so bright and colorful, that it gives the illusion of low contrast on the bird. I would def. be tempted to tone down the background so that the bird pops more.

    Cheers

The subject itself if fine - nice pose and good details, but it is the BG that is hurting the image. Toning it down, as well as its saturation, would be well advised. I also agree with more room comp-wise.

Great advise given above, Raul, bienvenido a BPN, can't wait to see more birds from your homeland :)
