Used Topaz Adjust small details to bring out the hairs a bit more. Cloned out some purple coneflowers. Cropped from the left and toned down the highlights on the top of the petals. Like how the BG showed the "full grown" lazy susan. But I am sure some of you will find it distracting. Used Live View to focus.

Hi Jackie, I also like the sharpness and detail along with the subject on a slight diagonal. To be honest I do find the bright orange in the backround a bit distracting but feel it's a good effort...
Hi Jackie - now that is some kinda sharp! :) Can see every little hair.
On one hand I like how the yellow in the BG matches the flower and on the other I find it a little distracting.
Personal tastes I think.
Good show :)
Hey Jackie,
I think the isolation is just fine.....I even like the BG....but perhaps pulling back on the LH side yeellows a touch (not much!).....one lighter area actually.....then the BG will be a little more even toned and make the bud the star it is!
