    Default Reflections?

Regarding duck and bird reflections in water, what are best guidelines for including full reflections.
I get torn on this as sometimes the whole reflection is distracting IMO or adds too much bottom image area.

    what is considered most suitable?
    Thanks for input

    Hi Dave,

Looks like you stumped the bunch of us on this one. I would try getting down as low as possible to water level to take some shots. See if you like them better. I agree, the mirror effect is distracting from the beauty of the bird itself. Getting right down to water level will give you a new perspective.

If reflection is in still water, and complete, by all means, leave it in.
Distorted reflections are not as attractive and can be cut or totally eliminated.

My opinion only, of course :)

I agree with Fabiola, that is my generally guideline for my images.

Agree with Fabs on the still reflections but I also like distorted reflections sometimes if the distortions are attractive themselves, like zigzag patterns.
