    Hi guys

I have just arrived back from two productive photo trips, one to Kruger and one to Giants Castle. I captured this roller on the banks of the Olifants River near the low water bridge. C & C always welcome.

Lovely light Chris, and well timed to get the prey in the air above the beak. Colours look great on the LBR too. Well captured.

    Chris:

Dramatic side lighting, great action with bug in the air, well exposed, nice colors.
Might consider a bit more canvas at the top.

Look forward to more from your trips.

Beautiful capture. Glad you had a great trip. I'm with Randy on wanting a bit more canvas on top.

What perfect timing on your part. I wouldn't mind a bit more canvas above too, but no biggie. Now why couldn't this guy flip the grasshopper with the head facing us!!:D Looking forward to more from those trips.....

Chris, great light and I especially like how it has lit the bug. Superb colors and freeze. Keep 'em coming.

The bird is glowing in that gorgeous light. I like your choice of ISO to boost the shutter speed and really freeze the action.

Super lighting and timing on the action, Chris. Good ISO choice. It may be an option to slightly burn the bright area of perch bottom right.
