From last weeks bear tour in Lake Clark N.P. AK

Here 2 subadults are out clamming at low tide. The ever present gulls are kind of a pain..

    Stupendous amazing colours and sharpness,

I suppose you have to get gulls when there no sticks:D

Lovely to be able to get so close and to have them so relaxed,

the mountains/forest in BKG really adds to the image giving it a sense of place..

You are reminding me to think wider on this Dale. Even dusted down the 100-400 and got Canon to calibrate for the end of next months trip.

Love the rh bear, great expression and light. The environment behind and the subtle reflections in the water, a very nice capture indeed sir.

Iconic shot from Alaska and the mountains do give it a unique look. Light is very friendly here as well. Love it.

Dale this is awesome - maybe cause I SOOO want to visit Alaska one day and the mountains in the back take me there. Gorgeous light, sharpness and clarity here, with the depth and surroundings taking it to another level.

Great low angle and a great background as well. Like the light hitting the bears and the eye contact with the bear on the right.

Sweet pair Dale !!! Like the framing and separation between the bears ..... understand about the gulls but could always parked them in another place ;)

Super detail, light, and BG. Just for kicks, I'd move that seagull right in front where the bear on the left is looking.

Brilliant image Dale. The depth showing the mountains and forest together with the low angle makes this for me.

    Hi Robert,

I love the image. The bear are great with both having good views of their faces. The background provides a good view of their habitat. If you leave the gulls or move it as Alfred suggests, I would try and tone it down as it is appears a little hot on my monitor. Thanks for sharing.
